Physician Assistant
Alliance Orthopedics, the region's most dynamic multidisciplinary practice, is seeking an energetic, motivated, and articulate team player to join our team! Our Physician Assistants work side-by-side with our medical and conservative care teams. PA-Cs are an integral part of our team of medical doctors, orthopedic surgeons, functional medicine practitioners, and pain management physicians. Additionally, our Physician Assistants function as medical liaisons to our conservative care team of chiropractors, physical therapists, clinical athletic trainers, occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, and more! A licensed Physician Assistant brings a unique role and perspective to the medical arm of our practice.
ON THE JOB TRAINING PROVIDED!!! (Must possess a valid PA-C License in the state of New Jersey to be considered for the role)
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Build rapport and relationships with our patients! Understand THEIR GOALS!
- Performs physical assessment of patients to identify priority care needs. Consults interdisciplinary team regarding patient assessment findings.
- Performs procedures necessary to implement a plan of care based on care standards and protocols.
- Develops a plan of care across the continuum, and exercises discretion when revising based on findings. Reviews patient plan of care with interdisciplinary team.
- Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way to facilitate patients achievement of desired outcomes.
- Documents all patient care activities as per documentation standards. Evaluates outcomes of documentation and contributes to performance improvement initiatives through medical record review.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and assists in the resolution of conflict among health care team members, patients, and families. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and incorporates their expertise to achieve patient outcomes.
- Serves as a change agent by implementing practice initiatives. Coordinates patient care activities to maximize patient outcomes.
- Facilitates the assessment of patients' learning needs and accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve patient outcomes.
- Leads a quality improvement process. Recognizes trends in patient populations and explores alternatives to care and assists in the revision of standards, guidelines, and protocols.
- Assists in the development and revision of standards for patient populations incorporating an interdisciplinary approach and utilizing best practices and research findings.
- Recognizes behaviors that impact the team function and implements strategies to optimize teamwork and serves as a mentor for team members.
- Reviews self development plan and professional goals and seeks new knowledge toward the progression of professional goals. Demonstrates evidence of self development by participating in educational programs. Provides educational programs to advance performance levels of staff.

Requirements:
- Valid New Jersey Physician Assistant License REQUIRED
- Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) through The National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Degree from accredited academic program (Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant)(ARC-PA)
- 1-3 years experience as a Certified Physician Assistant
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, especially the ability to show compassion for patients coming from all walks of life
- Prescriptive authorization - REQUIRED within 30 days of hire
