Position: Contract Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
Location: Wherever our veteran patients need us most! (Location: Buffalo, NY)
About Us: We are a team of dedicated professionals with a mission: to give our veterans the care and respect they deserve. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be performing military disability, compensation, and pension exams on our military heroes in a shared office space or clinic (provided by us!)
Responsibilities:
- Greet our heroes with a smile that could light up the deepest jungle.
- Perform focused exams for veteran disability claims with a side of wit and charm.
- Review and document medical findings with accuracy and a touch of flair.
- Collaborate with our researchers to ensure accurate medical history.
- Provide independent medical opinions based on the veteran's heroic service history.
- Translate medical terminology into a language even your grandma's parrot could understand (bonus points if you can teach us how to squawk it).
- Keep a straight face when veterans inevitably challenge you to survival skill contests (extra points if you let them win).
Qualifications:
- Strong desire to make every patient feel like they just met the healthcare equivalent of Indiana Jones.
- Valid New York Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license (from the school of explorers, of course).
- Experience in General Medicine. Qualifying experience includes Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine + Rehab, and/or Acute Care.
- Superhuman levels of compassion, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Have a clean malpractice history.
- Proficient in gen med, neuro, cardiopulmonology, and musculoskeletal exams.
- Possess an almost telepathic connection with computers and know them like a paper map.
- Have an explorer's hat (optional, but highly encouraged).
- Reside in or near Buffalo, NY
