Hall Health Center currently has an outstanding opportunity for an 80%-100% FTE Physician 2. This position provides direct acute and chronic care for patients in late adolescence through older age in an ambulatory setting. Competence in basic primary care outpatient procedures is also desired.
Hall Health Center on the UW Seattle Campus is a AAAHC-accredited outpatient facility providing high-quality health care to a wide range of individuals. Hall Health Center has 70,000 patient visits annually. Two-thirds of these visits are by undergraduate and graduate students. The primary mission of Hall Health is to support student success by providing excellent access to high-quality comprehensive care.

This is an 80%-100%, 11-12 month position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct patient care including diagnosis and treatment of medical and mental health problems commonly seen in an ambulatory setting.
- Care for a diverse patient population including those from underrepresented and marginalized backgrounds.
- Provide wellness counseling and health maintenance examinations.
- Educate and guide patients in caring for diseases and injuries.
- Order and interpret appropriate laboratory, X-ray, and other diagnostic tests.
- Work as a team member with medical assistants, nurses, technicians, colleagues, and other personnel.
- Provide care that demonstrates excellence, compassion, and understanding.
- Consult other providers and utilize resources as appropriate.
- Respond in a timely fashion to patient inquiries.
- Keep problem-oriented medical records.
- Maintain correspondence, insurance reports, and other paperwork.
- Serve as a peer consultant.
- Contribute to clinical quality-assurance work.
- Prepare and present reports to medical and administrative staff.
- Contribute to medical-staff conferences and CME.
- May supervise trainees.
- May perform outreach and public relations activities upon request.
- Demonstrate behaviors that support the UW Medicine Patients Are First Service Culture Guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Current state of Washington medical license.
- Completion of residency program in internal medicine, family medicine, or psychiatry, fellowship in adolescent medicine, or training in another relevant field.
- Board Eligibility or Certification in relevant specialty.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated clinical performance of excellent scientific quality with consistent and high level of clinical productivity.
- Skilled in basic ambulatory care procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well with patients and staff.
- Strong interest in patient education and advocacy.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards.
- Meets Hall Health Credentialing requirement.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minor office procedure skills.
- Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record.
- Two or more years of post-residency clinical experience.
