Physical Therapist Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and help enhance patients mobility and overall well-being. This role is based in a Primary Care Office, where youll collaborate closely with our providers and work under the guidance of a physical therapist to treat patients dealing with mobility issues or medical conditions that impact their ability to perform daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement care plans and interventions as outlined by the physical therapist and providers, ensuring the delivery of effective treatment.
Educate and guide patients and their caregivers through therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques.
Assess patient needs with empathy and compassion, tailoring care to individual requirements.
Offer recommendations for treatment modifications or adjustments to ensure patient safety, comfort, and progress.
Apply current research findings to help restore function, reduce symptom frequency, and prevent further injury.
Complete accurate and timely documentation to support physical therapy interventions and track patient progress.
Collect and analyze patient data to monitor and evaluate performance.
Maintain patient records with detailed and up-to-date information.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in the provision of care.
Commit to continuous professional development and stay informed about advancements in the field of physical therapy.
Qualifications:
Proven experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
In-depth knowledge of best practices in physiology and physical therapy techniques.
Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to teach and motivate patients effectively.
Proficiency in healthcare administration and maintaining accurate documentation.
Valid license or relevant certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Associate or Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies.
Ability to safely lift and assist patients weighing 40+ lbs.
