Physical Therapy Assistant - New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation

New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehab is currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

• 150 Bed- Skilled Nursing Facility

PTA Duties Include:

· Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions following physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.

· Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referral to a Registered Physical Therapist.

· Implements and modifies the patient’s physical therapy plan of treatment with RPT supervision

· Measuring & recording Residents motor function, strength, and muscle performance

· Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies them during treatment sessions as necessary.

· Observe residents and write progress reports.
