Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (Outpatient)

Location: Lawton, OK

Shift Notes: 8:00A - 5:00P (8 Hour Days)

Salary Range: $24.50 - $27.56/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary:

The Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the direct supervision of a registered Physical Therapist to deliver physical therapy services to patients. The primary duties involve executing specific treatment activities, utilizing therapeutic modalities and exercises as outlined in the treatment plan, and understanding the boundaries of their role.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out physical therapy procedures under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Apply modalities and instruct patients in exercises according to their specific medical needs and treatment plans.
• Assist in maintaining the physical therapy departments organization and cleanliness.
• Complete required documentation, such as daily treatment notes and discharge summaries.
• Provide care across a broad age range, from infants to geriatrics, tailoring approaches to each age groups needs.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• License to practice as a PTA, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Understanding of therapy modalities and patient care procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and conditions.
