Physical Therapy Assistant, Inpatient Rehab - Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center seeks a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our large rehabilitation team. In this role, you will treat patients after surgery, illness, or injury. The patient populations range from pediatrics to geriatrics, and spans numerous service lines. Our ideal candidate would have some hospital experience however orientation is comprehensive to meet the needs of the individual.

1. Provides therapy treatment for patients following a plan of care developed by a Physical Therapist.
2. Maintains complete, accurate documentation and medical records in a timely manner and in the approved departmental and professional format.
3. Documents progression towards goal achievement with appropriate billing for services provided.
4. Works collaboratively with referring providers, team members, and other staff to ensure patient safety during treatment and to follow the plan of care.
5. Communicates regularly with primary therapist and care team members.
6. Provides education/instruction to patients, families and the multi-disciplinary team.
7. Participates in and supports departmental programs such as in-service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, and staff meetings.
8. Delegates mobility tasks to support personnel.
9. Efficiently manages an inpatient caseload with support of the team.
10. Develops personal goals for professional development.
11. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (AA degree).

• Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (AA degree).
• New Hampshire licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
