Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist our licensed physical and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to patients, facilitating their rehabilitation process, and ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physical and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans and exercises for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Help patients with exercises, stretches, and other therapeutic activities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions and provide assistance and encouragement as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment.
- Document patient progress and report any concerns or observations to the supervising physical therapist.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and administrative tasks.
