St. Joseph Hospital, located in Bethpage NY, is a not-for-profit full service, 203-bed, community hospital that plays a paramount role in its communities. The Emergency Department cares for over 34,000 patients a year. The hospital has achieved disease specific certification for its Stroke Program which is designated by NYS as a Gold Plus Center. Other vital services include the St. Francis Imaging Center at St. Joseph Hospital, a state-of-the-art cardiac CT scanner, MRI, Vascular Laboratory, Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine, Center for Sleep Medicine, Center for Swallowing, Speech & Voice, and comprehensive in-patient medical, critical care and surgical services.
Job Details:Responsibilities:
- Providing patient initial evaluations, re-assessments and treatments.
- Development of an individualized plan of care and goals.
- Requires proper charting and documentation.
- Provide education to patients, families and other staff working with their patients.
- Must utilize service excellence standards when interacting with patients, families, external customers and other hospital staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy or Master's degree or higher in Physical Therapy. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- NYS Physical Therapy License and registration required.
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience required.
- Competency in physical therapy; excellent communication skills.
