Physical Therapist - Clearwater Valley Health - Kootenai Health

Under the direction of the Rehabilitation Director, evaluates, plans, and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to inpatients and outpatients.

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs a comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessment of assigned patients as evidenced by clinical documentation


• Develops a Plan of Care to promote optimum function and safety as documented in the clinical record


• Coordinates patient care with other providers ensuring optimal patient care and effective communication as noted in the clinical record


• Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in physical therapy.


• Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens


• Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies


• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function


• Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS Degree in physical therapy (PT)


• Current state PT license


• CPR certification


• Basic understanding of physical therapy services across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care
