Responsibilities:

• Document, monitor, and update reports on patient responses and progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper setup of the treatment areas after sessions.
• Implement treatment plans alongside registered Physical Therapists.
• Ensure compliance with all facility, Medicare, and private insurance policies and procedures.
• Engage actively in the facility's educational programs.
• Manage and direct Physical Therapy Aides to ensure quality treatment delivery.
• Communicate necessary patient progress details to physicians, as coordinated with supervising Physical Therapists.
• Perform prescribed therapeutic treatments as part of patient care plans.

Qualifications:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Requires current certification from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) and licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Louisiana.
• Demonstrates competence in physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and moving patients, with the capability to handle at least minimal assist transfers (defined as the ability to lift and control 50 pounds).
