GeneralDescription MUST HAVE INPATIENT EXPERIENCE
ThePhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work as part of a team to providephysical therapy service under the direction and supervision of the physicaltherapist. The PTA will implementselected components of patient/client interventions (treatment), obtain datarelated to the interventions provided, and make modifications in selectedinterventions either to progress the patient/client as directed by the physicaltherapist or to ensure patient/client safety and comfort.
Responsibility
PTAs assist the physical therapist in the treatmentof individuals of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, who have medicalproblems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to moveand perform functional activities in their daily lives. Patient care is provided as in-patient,outpatient and home health settings.
Accountability
The Physical TherapistAssistant reports directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.

Mental:Astute communication skills with employees,physicians, visitors, administration and public. Ability to adjust to job situations thatinvolve many different people and projects, requiring some independent actionand judgment.
Physical:Must have the ability and competency to operate theequipment of his/her position; perform technical procedures; speakintelligently and in a professional manner before others; and exercisesupervision and management skills.
Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of and have acertificate from an accredited Physical TherapistAssistant program. Must be currently credentialed by Colorado Department of RegulatoryAgencies, Division of Professions and Occupations, State Physical TherapyBoard. Must have verification card ofcurrent instruction in BLS.
Experience: Minimum oftwo (2) years of experience primarily outpatient experience preferred. Bi-lingual capabilities helpful.
WorkingEnvironment
General work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work in a state of the art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium, clean,well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned area. Exposure to unpleasant sights, smells and infectious diseases possible.
