Responsibilities
Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
+ Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
+ Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patientpopulation.
+ Document treatment interventions given.
+ May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
+ Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required
Additional Preferences
Completed Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current or eligibility for State of Wisconsin licensure
Experience in acute-care or inpatient-rehab settings preferred
