Ahava Therapy Services is hiring a Full-Time PTA for Peachtree Centre in Gaffney, SC. This 150-bed skilled nursing facility has 40 beds specifically for short-term rehab. Peachtree offers long and short-term rehab along with outpatient services. Peachtree has a state-of-the-art rehab gym with community reintegration to facilitate our resident's highest level of function. This facility is located just 40 minutes outside Charlotte, NC, and 30 minutes outside Spartanburg, SC. Be aaprt of a great In-House team under great Leadership
Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
- Assist the Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
- Observe, record, and report to the Therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
- Maintained daily records of treatments and documented treatment and progress notes on residents as directed.
- Assist the Therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals.
- Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment.
- Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned.
- Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to discipline and responsibilities to maintain clinical currency.
- Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services' regulatory and professional standards and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in or provide information for rehabilitation team conferences regarding resident progress, problems, or needs.
- Adhere to company and facility policies and procedures and participate in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently by resident goals and outcomes related to discharge destination.
- Knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines.
- Support the company's mission and vision that projects a professional image.
- Independently performs duties and recognizes situations where direct supervision is needed; willingly helping others.
- Maintain the expected productivity level that has been discussed and is expected for your position at your particular facility/facilities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Current license or eligible for support under statutes in the state of practice.
- Must have BLS CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
