Mount Carmel Bluffs is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house Rehab Team.
SCHEDULE/HOURS: Monday - Friday, flexible schedule, PRN/on-call hours with up to part time hours available.
Mount Carmel Bluffs is a shared ministry of the Sisters of Charity, BVM and Presbyterian Homes & Services. This new senior community is in a beautiful and serene location atop the bluffs of Dubuque, Iowa, overlooking the Mississippi River.

Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist Assistant assists with implementing and providing high quality physical therapy care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established rehabilitation policies, procedures and best practices.
• Provide patient/resident and family education/consultation related to the disorder and its management. • Communicate resident status and needs to the patient/resident, their family, staff and other professionals (i.e. care conferences).• Provide direct care of residents with physician ordered evaluation and treatment based upon regulations and established rehabilitation procedures and best practices as directed by the Physical Therapist. • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with regulations and established rehabilitation best practices. • Maintain treatment area, equipment and supply inventory as directed. • Provide assistance with the daily operations of the rehab department as directed by the Physical Therapists and/or Director of Rehabilitation Services.
Qualifications
- Graduate for an accredited program for physical therapy assistants.
- Current licensure in the state of practice as required
- Competence in physical therapy treatment and documentation according to the Standards of Practice
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
