We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic growing team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support Physical Therapists in the delivery of treatment plans, and contribute to the overall success of our agency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients with a variety of conditions, including orthopedic and musculoskeletal disorders.
- Conduct patient visits, take vital signs, and document treatment progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Perform various physical therapy modalities, as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, adhering to infection control standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapy team as well as the interdisciplinary team, to achieve treatment goals and promote patient recovery.
- Participate in educational in-services and continuing education to expand knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state where the job is located.
- Experience working in home health is preferred yet not required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients with minimal assistance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a passion for promoting patient recovery and wellness.
