**Physical Therapy Assistant**

**Overview**
Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will perform treatments and provide exercise instruction for patients, adhering to established policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**

• Prepare patients and execute treatment plans to restore strength, endurance, and mobility.
• Perform delegated procedures such as gait training and therapeutic modalities.
• Encourage patient participation by discussing treatment goals.
• Document patient progress and maintain medical records.
• Communicate courteously with patients and staff, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist in patient assessments and support clinical staff.
• Participate in ongoing training and maintain equipment.
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and provide coverage as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Licensed in TN with current CPR certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience.

Physical Demands

• Constant standing, walking, and feeling.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, and handling.
• Occasional climbing, pushing, and pulling.
