Job Description:
Computer Integration Technologies, Inc. (CIT) is hiring a Field Technician within the cabling and physical security department. With a focus on excellent customer service, you will install, service, and test electronic security systems, including access control systems, burglar alarms, CCTV, and related security equipment in commercial and industrial environments.

Things you can expect to do:
- Routinely perform project-based installations and service-based repair calls at client locations, which will include access controls, security, and CCTV systems.
- Install and pull wire and install mounts and adjacent wire equipment used in security systems.
- Design, manage, administer, and integrate products, services, applications and operating level systems code.
- Test all equipment after termination is made to ensure performance of the system. Verify signals and troubleshoot as needed.
- Educate and train customers on system operation and functionality.
- Communicate daily with Project Managers on delays, requirements, and general status of jobs.
- Ensure all jobs are executed within each phase’s estimate.
- Collaborate with Sales, Systems Engineer, and Project Managers on change orders, compliant startup, and complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the Client.
- Manage individual truck stock inventory, materials, tools, and company equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Design wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Comply fully with the safety programs of CIT and the Client.
- Assist with preventative maintenance of customer equipment.
- Positively represent CIT to customers with consistent professionalism.
- Complete projects individually or as part of a team.
- Attend and complete required classroom and field training.
- Attend company and departmental meetings.
Required qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working with low voltage cabling and commercial security systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Power Limited Technician (PLT) License or the ability to obtain within 3 years.
- This position will travel up to 10% of the time out of state for up to 5 days at a time.
- This position may require shift work as part of an organization that operates 24/7/365 and may require the ability to work weekends, evenings, overnight, or holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and sit.
- Ability to reach, grasp, lift, and carry boxes and other items up to 50lbs.
- Ability to accomplish fine motor tasks relating to typing and manipulating wires.
- Ability to complete ladder work and operate scissor and boom lifts.
- Occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
- Must be able to meet all the physical requirements of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of related experience in a technology environment.
- Verkada or other enterprise grade physical security system certifications.

Pay range:
Pay range: $55,000 – 85,000: The pay range shown represents the national pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, level of experience, and other relevant factors. At CIT, we consider a variety of elements when determining salaries to ensure fair and competitive compensation for all our employees.
Work location:
CIT’s office is located in Woodbury, Minnesota. This position will have a blend of daily visits to customer sites across the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN and western Wisconsin area and weekly or biweekly visits to CIT’s office.
