Full Time, Monday - Friday and some on-call

Up to $72,000 plus bonus for survey and budget goals

Hartford-area skilled nursing facility seeking a Physical Plant Manager for directing plant preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as housekeeping and laundry services. The candidate will be efficient, organized, and have hands-on maintenance experience and skill.  He/she will have a proven record in preventative maintenance, vendor management and employee supervision.  He/she will have strong understanding of nursing home physical plan and fire-safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Preventative Maintenance Program – both in house and through outside vendors
• Directs maintenance staff and performs hands-on work
• Directs and supervises housekeeping and laundry staff
• Maintains systems that assure a clean building
• Coordinates facility plant projects
• Identifies continuous process improvements and cost containment opportunities

Minimum Qualifications: 

·       3 years of experience in skilled nursing facility maintenance department.

·       Experience in supervision preferred.

·       Strong organizational skills.

·       Strong efficiency for self and staff.

·       Strong communication skills.

·       Good understanding of technology.
