We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advances Nurse Practitioner with a focus on musculoskeletal to join our team in a PM&R team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical exams and medical histories of patients within Ortho, Podiatry, Pain mgmt and eventually Facial Aesthetics
- Diagnose acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education and counseling on health and wellness issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice
- Complete assessment for new patients admitted to the service, and complete plan of care
- Order lab and diagnostic tests for patients in the service as appropriate to formulate diagnosis, develop treatment plan
- Review lab results and diagnostic tests
- Performs comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and mental examinations, including developmental and functional status determination.
- Interprets x-rays, with assistance from physician, in order to formulate diagnosis
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner with experience with experience working on a musculoskeletal service line which would include Physiatry, Orthopedics, and perhaps Podiatry
- Prefer to possess excellent clinical skills and the ability to work independently
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice.
