Photo Videographer- Genesco Brands Group - Genesco Inc

Job Summary

This position is responsible for meeting all photography and videography needs for Genesco Brands Group. This includes seasonal product photography, lifestyles, product hero images, and product highlight videos. It will also involve pre-production tasks of helping coordinate shoots, managing equipment, and post-production tasks of editing and creating final deliverables.

Job Responsibilities

• Photograph product range for Dockers, Starter, PONY, and other brands according to seasonal marketing production schedule.
• Conduct lifestyle photoshoots for all GBG brands according to seasonal marketing production schedule, including: story/concept development and shot planning (with Manager of Creative Services); location/site selection and casting (with Marketing Coordinator); location set-up and lighting design; shoot management including oversight of onsite team and talent direction.
• Select, process, and prepare images (manipulate background, color balancing, etc.) to provide color-ready files for retouching and production.

• Produce collection-level product video content for Dockers, Starter, PONY, and other brands including: studio set-up and filming; sound and lighting; conducting screen tests; directing talent.
• Collaborate with Marketing team to ensure script accuracy, sample flow and completion of all desired styles.
• Edit video, correcting for lighting and sound, editing graphics as appropriate.
• Produce brand-level video content for GBG brands for use in Ecommerce applications and digital/social media, including: story/concept development (with Marketing Manager); sourcing/hiring external filmmaker/producer (as required); shoot management and post-production oversight.
• Render video in formats that meet specific customer requirements.

• Project and manage GBG photography and videography budget seasonally.
• Create and maintain yearly production calendars.

• Manage in-house photo/video studio for Genesco Brands Group, including maintenance and updating of all equipment and accessories as needed.
• Media site administrative responsibilities as assigned.

• Additional marketing support around key event times as needed.

Job Requirements

• Technical school or Bachelor's degree
• 5-7 years experience in photography or as photography assistant preferred
• Online portfolio required
• Able to stage and execute product photos and videos
• Experience working with models and talent
• Knowledge of a Digital SLR camera
• Knowledge and experience capturing clean audio and using audio editing techniques.
• Mac platform proficiencies in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; Audition CC, Premier CC, Capture One, Lightroom CC, Media Encoder CC
• Well-organized and able to deal with a high volume of images
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Flexible
• Attention to detail
• May require extended work hours to meet deadlines.
