Barkaritaville Pet Resort of San Antonio, TX is looking to hire a Full-Time Reservation Specialist to handle all of our inbound calls. Are you an outgoing "people" person with excellent communication skills, who also happens to love animals, and would love spending most of your work day on the phone establishing relationships with other pet lovers? This position pays $17.00/hr. to $20.00/hr. depending on your experience plus incentive bonus. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A RESERVATION SPECIALIST
As the Reservation Specialist at Barkaritaville, you are a communication all-star! You handle all phone inquiries about lodging, daycare, grooming, and training. Your empathy, attention to detail, and follow-through result in the highest standard of customer service.
You love that you get to spend most of your day on the phone providing stellar customer service. Your warm smile comes through in your voice and puts potential, new, and established clients at ease. You handle all inbound calls and make confirmation calls. Though the majority of your communication is by phone, you also handle email and web inquiries. You confidently convey the benefits, value, and superiority of our facility and care. You receive regular support and training from your sales coach and have helpful scripts to follow. You have an in-depth knowledge of our services, protocols, guidelines, and pricing. Many initial inquiries lead to long-term clients because you take the time to engage with callers and build relationships.
In addition to your interpersonal skills, your organizational ability and attention to detail help you excel in this position. You enter detailed information into a new client file for each inquiry. You streamline the check-in process by emailing necessary documents ahead of time. You keep track of multiple conversations at a time and ensure that all inquiries receive a response by the end of each workday, or within 24 hours during high-volume periods. You also maintain an up-to-date daily tracking worksheet to submit to your sales coach each week. You love the feeling of satisfaction you get from keeping everything in order and taking care of every detail.
A small percentage of your time is spent giving tours of our facility to potential clients and participating in special marketing events. You also may, on occasion, step in to help out at the front desk. All in all, you feel good about the important role you play in connecting loving families with the ideal services for their furry members.
QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A RESERVATION SPECIALIST
- Previous Customer service experience 5+years
- Sales/marketing skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Computer Literacy and proficient in Microsoft products including Outlook, Word, SharePoint
- Highly Organized

WORK SCHEDULE
This positions working hours are Monday-Friday, 9am to 6pm or 8am to 5pm, and every other Saturday 8am - 5pm. Must be available before major Holidays as they are our busiest time.
