Opportunity Overview:
Join our team as a Lab Services Specialist (Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant) and embark on a rewarding journey of patient care. Your role is crucial in providing top-notch experiences for our patients, assisting them in vital aspects of their healthcare journey through venipuncture and other clinical support services. Working closely with a diverse team of providers and administrative assistants, you'll contribute significantly to our patients' primary care experiences, both locally and within our broader district. Your commitment to upholding the highest quality standards in specimen collection and processing, combined with your compassionate approach, ensures that each patient receives personalized and reassuring care.
Your Role:
Deliver exceptional venipuncture services catering to a wide age range, from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Assist in various extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
Uphold meticulous standards of in-office care, encompassing specimen labeling, handling, processing, inventory management, and tool sterilization.
Extend your care beyond the lab by addressing patient messages, following up on lab cases, and supporting providers and virtual medical teams with administrative tasks.
Master our suite of technologies, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to facilitate seamless communication and workflow efficiency.
Your Qualifications:
Completion of a postsecondary Medical Assistant program accredited by either CAAHEP or ABHES, or relevant Medical Assistant training from any branch of the armed forces.
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience outside of a training/externship setting.
Proficiency in written and verbal communication, coupled with adeptness in computer technology.
Experience working within collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with additional experience in remote teams being advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to convey confidence, build trust, and provide individualized, customer-focused care during the collection process.
Proven resilience in navigating change, addressing challenges, and adapting quickly to new situations or tasks.
Phlebotomy certification is preferred, along with experience in extended scope care.

Position Details:
This is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with 8-hour shifts generally scheduled Monday to Friday between 7:00 am and 5:30 pm, based at our Queen Creek location.
