Phlebotomist II from Innova Solutions

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Phlebotomist.

Position Type: Full Time, Contract to possible hire.

Duration: 3 months

Location: Napa, CA 94558

Training: 1 to 2 weeks of training, worker will have to go to Santa Rosa location where they will do a week of training, and HM will observe sticks.

Shift/Schedule: Must be available M-F Shifts starting as early as 6:30 am or as late as ending at 6:30/7pm. The hours of this location are 6:30-5pm the closer hours are 9am-6pm with mandatory OT. This position will require a rotating Saturday shift that could be scheduled in Petaluma or Santa Rosa hours 7:30-2:30pm

As a Phlebotomist, your responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy Certification
• 2+-year experience doing blood draws of all age groups.
• Processing Specimens.
• Labelling specimens
• Centrifuging specimens
• Recording maintenance data and decontamination
• Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels.
