Summary:
- The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical services to inpatients, outpatients, and various hospital departments. This position is also involved in pharmacy data processing, inventory control, and other duties within the department.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Helps maintain proper storage, packaging, and quantities of inventory throughout the hospital.
- Participates in the maintenance of proper computer medication profiles, daily reports, and billing of medications.
- Refills Pyxis Med Stations accurately and timely.
- Prepares sterile products under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Performs unit medication inspections.
- Maintains pharmacy technician certifications.
- OH State Pharmacy Tech License
