Job Details
We are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic and innovative team for interim support. This role will primarily involve working with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to provide quality pharmaceutical services. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of the pharmacy sector, particularly within a scientific or research-based setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician who is looking to expand their skillset and make a significant impact in the scientific industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
2. Maintain accurate patient medication records in compliance with HIPPA regulations.
3. Operate and manage Omnicell systems for medication storage and dispensing.
4. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate medication use.
5. Conduct regular inventory checks, ensuring all medications are stored correctly and safely.
6. Participate in research and development activities, contributing to scientific advancements in pharmaceuticals.
7. Deliver medications to various departments within the organization, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.
8. Continually update knowledge on new drugs, medical equipment, and treatment protocols.
9. Comply with all safety and infection control standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
1. Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician certification.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably within a scientific or research-based setting.
3. Demonstrable experience in psychiatry and delivering medications.
4. Proficiency in operating Omnicell systems.
5. Excellent understanding of HIPPA regulations and their application in a pharmacy setting.
6. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
9. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
10. A passion for science and a drive to contribute to advancements in the field of pharmaceuticals.
