About the Job
As a vital member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with our VFC COVID-19 program staff, playing a pivotal role in the efficient transportation of vaccines across the State of Tennessee. Our mission is to prevent vaccine excess and expiration by ensuring the effective utilization of existing vaccine supplies. This remote position entails frequent travel within your region.

VPDIP - Vaccine Ordering Manager
Tennessee Vaccine-Preventable Diseases and Immunization Program (VPDIP) Pharmacist
Requirements:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Transport Courier / Field Agent with the following qualifications:
Certification as a Pharmacy Technician, EMT, CNA, or LPN (required)
Current HIPAA training (required)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
Proficiency in medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, infection control, and CDC-recommended vaccine shipping and handling guidelines
Strong problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask
Outstanding organizational, administrative, and planning skills
Capacity to work under pressure and respond effectively to urgent situations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Excellent communication skills
Punctuality and ability to work without direct supervision
Physical fitness with the capability to lift at least 20 pounds
Passion for optimizing healthcare efficiency

Primary Responsibilities:
Receive vaccines and medical items from transferring healthcare facilities, ensuring clear understanding of instructions.
Safely store vaccines and medical items in the delivery vehicle, maintaining proper documentation for each item.
Plan efficient routes considering traffic and mileage, ensuring timely collection and delivery.
Obtain recipient signatures and verify designations upon delivery, prioritizing the safety of all items transported.
Maintain accurate mileage and maintenance records, adhering to HIPAA regulations at all times.
Prepare vaccines for transport according to CDC guidelines, ensuring proper packing and temperature control.
Monitor temperature levels during transport, taking immediate action if out of range to maintain cold-chain integrity.
Perform routine checks on service vehicles, replenishing fluids and fuel as needed.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 17.00 20.00 Per Hour
