Fairview Range is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for our inpatient Pharmacy Team in Hibbing, MN.
The Pharmacy is an integral part of our care team. Based within the hospital, our Pharmacy supports patient care in inpatient, emergency, and oncology/infusion settings as well as supporting outpatient vaccine programs. Our team manages patient medications, mixes medications on demand, and acts as a resource for the facility.
The Pharmacy Technician will be providing technical support to clinical duties. This position performs unit dose cart fills, prepares sterile products such as chemotherapy and IV admixtures, and distributes medications and supplies as needed throughout the facility. The successful candidate will be adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
About this unit:
- Department of approximately 16 staff.
- Teaching institution for Pharmacist programs.
- 24/7 support through M Health Fairview Pharmacy
- Part of multidisciplinary care team.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day/evening shift. Weekends: Rotating Weekends

Responsibilities/Job Description:As a Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for:
- Preparing of sterile products.
- Drug Distribution
- Providing clerical and support services for department needs and professional staff.
- Maintaining Inventory/Stock Levels
Required Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) within 12 months of hire.
- Candidates not currently registered as a Technician with the MN Board of Pharmacy will need to be registered prior to hire and maintain registration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program offered by a board-approved, accredited vocational/technical institution or college.
