MUST:
Experienced Pharmacy Technician
7 plus years of professional experience in a retail or ambulatory setting
Experience preparing and processing prescriptions
Calling physicians for refill requests
Obtaining pre-authorizations and verifying insurance
Providing customer service in person and over the phone
Counting and verifying medication
Certified as a Pharmacy Tech in the District of Columbia
PTCB required

DUTIES:
provide support to the Pharmacist in the operations of the pharmacy
Process and prepare prescriptions
Call physician offices for refill requests
Verify insurance
Obtain pre-authorizations
Provide customer service support in person and over the phone
Collect and process payments
Maintain and count inventory
Return inventory to the shelf
