Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Responsibilities

• Triage, interpret, and input medication orders into the computerized system while meeting accuracy and productivity standards
• Perform drug calculations and conversions (e.g., milligrams)
• Resolve denial issues identified through adjudication and follow up on claims in the Point of Sale (POS) system
• Maintain current knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes
• Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and pending follow-up
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
• Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a Pharmacist
• Perform other tasks as assigned, assisting in any area of the pharmacy as directed

Pharmacy Order Entry Technician Requirements

• Experience in pharmacy order entry or related field is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform drug calculations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet accuracy and productivity standards
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation
• High School Diploma or GED required
