Job Duties:
- Call patient for refills reminder as assigned by pharmacy staff, documentation of calls, and communication of dispense back to pharmacy staff
- Notification of Adherence and Compliance to physician offices
- Call patients for follow-up after 1 week of starting oral oncolytic
- Processing prescriptions and updating shipping address and payment
- Initiating and process prior authorization
- Assist with pharmacy with dispensing process as needed
- Other duties as assigned by Pharmacy Director
Expectations:
- Provide as a liaison between patient, pharmacy, and physician office in order to insure patient are compliant and adhering to treatments
- Communication to pharmacy and clinical staff concerning prescriptions dispensed, shipping, and refill authorizations to insure timely dispensing of medication to patient
- Ability to converse with patient and provide customer service over the phone
- Be able to work independently
- Be able to self- initiate and creative to find solutions
- Be able to open minded and adapt to changes in new programs efficiently
- Strong retail background and assist with pharmacy whenever needed.
- Strong pharmacy benefit manager experience in mail order or prior authorization
Requirements
- Knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word, retail pharmacy programs required
- 2 years of retail experience in the last 4 years required
- 1 year experience in a pharmacy benefit manager doing prior authorizations required
- Mail order experience required
- Type 50 WPM required
- Spanish speaking preferred
- College Diploma preferred
- Pharmacy Technician Certification is required
