About the Job
Currently, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. As a Pharmacy Technician you will work under the supervision of the Pharmacist while following all policies and procedures appropriately. These duties below should be executed while maintaining an attitude of professionalism and within the scope of required competencies for the role.
General job duties:
- Inventory: Maintains accurate inventories of pharmaceutical drugs and supplies. Accurately and efficiently completes assigned audits such as cycle counts or med room inspections.
- Regulatory compliance: Maintains a safe and clean work area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Documents regulatory requirements such as temperature logs, scheduled activities and training accurately and timely.
- Data entry: Correctly receives and types prescription data into pharmacy computer software and alerts registered pharmacist of any drug utilization reports or alerts from software indicating drug interactions or potential adverse events.
- Filling: Accurately picks, counts and measures drug dosages for patient's prescriptions and packages according to company's policies and procedures.
- Communications: answer phones with positive attitude and directs patient questions to registered pharmacist or if allowed, utilizes problem solving to find the solution to the patient's question.
- Will Call: understand the operation of the cash register and follow all cash handling policies to prevent loss while tendering customer transactions in a quick and efficient manner.
- Confidentiality: must adhere to company's privacy policies as well as HIPAA policy to safeguard patient health information from exposure.
- Frequent contact with staff of community agencies and the general public. Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with all.
- Be a positive role model for all health center staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
