The newly added 22,000-square-foot facility in Niles, Michigan will have 43 exam rooms and will house both Southwestern Medical Primary Care, Niles and Spectrum Health Lakeland Ear, Nose, and Throat providers. The $7.8 million project is expected to be completed and open to patients March 2023. This facility is a continued investment in our Niles community and the health of those we serve. It houses a range of coordinated health services from diagnostics to primary and specialty care, all in one place, allowing us to deliver care to a patient’s whole family, right in their community.

Lakeland Care Network is a partnership between your physician and Corewell Health Lakeland. We are the largest Accountable Care Organization (ACO) in southwestern Michigan. We are not an insurance company, but rather a comprehensive health care network of hospitals, physicians, and other providers who share a commitment to excellence.
Our provider panel consists of more than 150 primary care providers, and over 800 specialty care providers who are dedicated to serving the health care needs of our community. GENERAL SUMMARY
Pharmacy Technicians work under the direction of a pharmacist to provide technical assistance, processing and preparing medications and supplies. Pharmacy Technicians work with multiple medication automation systems and delivers medications and supplies to patient care areas as well as triages phone calls and messages from multidisciplinary team members. Pharmacy Techs must be able to work in complex pharmacy areas (satellites, sterile product compounding, controlled substance handling, inventory management).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Prepares supplies / medication, including complex sterile formulations under the direction of a pharmacist. May prepare hazardous or biologic products when properly trained and competencies are passed.
- Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging.
- Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law.
- Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.

Education/Training:
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred Associate's Degree
Work Experience:
- Hospital experience Preferred
Certification, Licensure, Registration:
- LIC-Pharmacist Intern - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician Temp - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required And
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required
- CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required
- Ideal candidate will possess both Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification, such as PTCB Cert
