- Department: Pharmacy Services Inpatient
- Schedule: PRN/Rotating shifts days/evenings, one weekend a month minimum requirement, one winter holiday (NYD, MLK, Thanksgiving, Christmas) and one summer holiday (Good Friday, Memorial day, July 4th and Labor day) are a minimum requirement. Shift times: Day shift (6am-2:30pm, 6:30am-3:00pm) Evenings (2:30pm-11pm)
- Hospital: Borgess Medical Center
- Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Provide distributive pharmacy services and technical support for the Pharmacist prior to receiving certification.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Triage incoming calls and serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing information.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Michigan Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
