Sentara Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician for Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA!

Status: Full Time (40 hours)
Location: Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, VA
Work hours: Rotating shift 8 hour shifts and can start at 7am, 1230pm or 2pm including weekends (Sat AND Sun) every other week. Need to be available to all the shifts listed.
Job responsibilities:
Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.
Required qualifications:
Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED
Preferred qualifications:
1 year Pharmacy Technician experiencein in the hospital or 3 years retail pharmacy experience preferred
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)preferred
