Sentara Health is hiring an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA!

Sign-on bonus of $5K offered to qualified candidates!

Status: Full Time (40 hours)

Work hours: Rotating 8.5 hour shifts (with 30 min lunch) starting at 6am, 7am, 730am, 9am, 1230pm 1pm or 230pm including every other weekend (Saturday AND Sunday).

Location: Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA

Job responsibilities:

Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Measure, mix, count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy.

Required qualifications:

• Virginia Pharmacy Technician license REQUIRED

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior hospital experience OR 3-years retail pharmacy experience preferred
