Short Description
Optimizing Technician Role while supporting Pharmacy Automation Functions and Endeavors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Omnicell/Pyxis Platforms. Rotating Shifts for Projects.
Accurately and timely prepares all medications, including IV medications, under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as per policy and regulation. Restocks Automated dispensing devicesRestocks CarousalsFills Floor stock requisitionsCompletes expired medication inspectionsAnswers phones to assist in dispensing questionsEnsures all medications are properly delivered.Able to breakdown wholesaler order and organize storeroomOrganize bulk fluid inventory(s)Flunctionally use the hospital information systems
Experience Required
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification Requirements
Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire)
Must register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy during the first 10 days of employment.
Must complete the registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy and become an active registered Pharmacy Technician within 180 days of hire.
Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB) or greater than 10 years hospital or equivalent pharmacy experience required
Completion of basic pharmaceutical calculations
