Job Summary and Qualifications

The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for all stocking, filling/refilling ADM’s, computer input of charges, prepacking and storage of medication, assist in ordering and performing inventory on IV medications and Narcotic drugs, and preparing IV medications. Fulfills departmental responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision and values of the hospital. 

What qualifications you will need:

• High school diploma or GED. Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred; basic computer skills required. 
• Tennessee Board of Pharmacy pharmacy technician licensure required. 
• Pharmacy technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB – PTCB exam completion) or National Healthcare Association (NHA – ExCPT exam completion) required.
