This is market-wide based role. Drive/Travel between other market hospital facilities 75% or more of the time is required.*Medication inventory management and Pyxis experience strongly preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Free StandingEmergency Department (FSED) Pharmacy and Supply Technician is responsible formanaging the pharmacy and supply operations to ensure safe and effective medication and supplies availability, distribution, storage, securityand control. Responsibilities also include receiving, ordering, promptly distributing all medication and supplies within the facility, reviewing and maintainingall Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all other stocking locations including automated dispensing cabinets. The technician will also follow and enforce policies and procedures, quality assurance and regulatory compliance in conjunction with the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and/or Consultant Pharmacist of record.The FSED Pharmacy and Supply Technician fulfills departmental responsibilities within the long- range plan, mission, visionand values of the hospital, comply withall regulatory standards and work with the Director of Pharmacy to identifyand develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards.
In this role, you will:
- Work with or under supervision of the Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards. Participate in quality and regulatory reviews and audits.
- Deliver and stocks medication and supplies in an accurate and timely manner
- Is authorized to transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media and drug- containing devices relative to core competencies of the position
- Receive expedited deliveries, accurately key receiving into the SMART system, and deliver to appropriate department(s), Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC)
- Receive all cross-docked items into the SMART system as appropriate
- Review Min/Max for storeroom and Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC) safety stock daily and place orders appropriately
- Count par level areas (POU areas) weekly according to schedule
- Ensure POU items have the appropriate barcodes
- Rotate stock in POU areas and backup storeroom areas to ensure no items are out of date
- Check after-hour logs for charges and determine how to avoid reoccurrence
- Process all “returns to vendor” or “returns to backup stock” appropriately
- Provide assistance to the POU Station personnel as well as provide assistance with problems, questions and concerns at the nurses’ stations
- Handle all emergency supply situations
- Rotate “on call” as appropriate
Qualifications you need:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- PTCB/CphT Certification is Required
- State Board of Pharmacy Registration, as applicable by state, is required.
