Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Outpatient Pharmacy technician in Hospital Pharmacy. Duties include customer service, Data entry, answering phones, pulling medication.
2+ years exp required
No travelers, looking for local candidate within 30 minutes or accessible to public transportation (parking is difficult)
Summary
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for processing prescriptions for patients and their families in the clinic setting. The Pharmacy Technician will collect medication histories, fill scripts, and coordinate payments in conjunction with pharmacist direction.
Brief description below:
Processes prescriptions/medication orders and prepares medications
Ensures proper distribution/delivery of investigational pharmaceutical and supply shipment, provide support for drug procurement staff including unpacking stock, documenting receipt, and proper storage
Ensures the doses are prepared and delivered within established department time frame standards.
Completes and documents daily and monthly activity checklists including expired drug checking, cleaning assignments of sterile and nonsterile compounding spaces and ordering supplies
Checks all available means of communication including email and EPIC secure chat messages
Review patients order daily to verify all documentation is collected and recorded accurately according to SOP and study specific requirements
Maintain a clean and organized work area to meet USP 795, USP797 and USP800 guidelines
Participates in ongoing clinical trials training and updates
Credentials:
Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) is required.
Education or Equivalent Experience:
High school graduate/equivalent is required.
CPHT required with 2+ years’ experience
