We are searching for a Pharmacy Technician II to perform duties to support and in support of the Retail Pharmacy including assisting Pharmacists with processing prescriptions. Count and prepare medications for dispensing, stock and maintain inventory, maintain recordkeeping including refrigerator logs. Strive to provide excellent customer service over the phone and at the counter, demonstrating proficiency and compassion while interacting with customers. Under supervision of the pharmacist, take verbal prescription orders and call prescribers offices for refills and Rx clarifications where permitted by law. Maintain POS (Point-of-Sale) product database. Assist in training new technicians. May be required to deliver prescriptions to patients at the bedside and perform other duties as determined by the pharmacist to assist in daily operations of the store

• Hours: 32hrs
• Shift: Day Shift with weekend and holiday rotation; 7am to 6pm variable
• Location: Retail Pharmacy – St. Luke’s Hospital – New Bedford, MA
  • Candidate must be willing to work between the (3) Southcoast Retail Pharmacies to provide coverage as needed.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

• High School Graduate or the equivalent is required.
• Additional clinical course work or training is preferred.
• Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification is required within 18 months of hire.
• 1 year of related work experience required. 3 years preferred
• A valid driver’s license is required.
