FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $24.11 - $36.17 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Contributes clinical knowledge and value analysis to support supply chain activities and to optimize pharmacy product selection, evaluation, use and implementation.
Requirements:
+ High School diploma or GED.
+ PHATP (Pharmacy Technician Provisional) certification from State Board of Pharmacy.
+ PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy within 18 months of hire. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
+ 3 years of Pharmacy Technician or Buyer experience.
Responsibilities:
+ Analyzes product data from a variety of sources and develops a classification schema. Develops rules to ensure the accurate classification and cross-referencing of products used.
+ Develops, implements, and monitors a value analysis process to ensure the appropriate and efficient use of clinical products and to identify cost-savings and quality improvement opportunities. Collaborates on clinical product evaluation and selection processes.
+ Solicits the input of clinical leaders to achieve customer satisfaction with product selection and use.
+ Serves as a liaison between department, internal customers, and vendors to communicate and resolve issues, including pricing discrepancies, product conversions, inventory control practices, contract management and vendor support.
+ Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
