POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for registration of patients, insurance verification, communication of services available. Handles routine patient inquiries. Ability to handle incoming and outgoing phone calls. This position provides care for, or assistance to, patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience with automated systems preferred. Basic typing and clerical skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Process incoming and outgoing calls efficiently, politely and as quickly as possible
- Greet and direct guests and patients
- Maintain up to date knowledge of register
- Ability to demonstrate processes of financial transactions via register or similar.
- Promote customer service by demonstrating polite, cooperative and respectful behavior to both internal and external customers
- Assume responsibility for completing mandatory educational requirements
- Promote service excellence by demonstrating polite, cooperative and respectful behavior to both internal and external customers

- Safeguard security and confidentiality of data/information according to HIPAA guidelines
- Carry out duties safely and use safety devices provided to protect self and others. Report safety hazards as appropriate.
