Pharmacy Automation Techs support pharmacy automated technologies, maintainin existing applications, system configuration, database updates and assistin in implementation/upgrade of new/existing software.

Qualifications:
High school degree or GED
NM Board of Pharmacy license required
Two years experience in pharmacy
Experience in computer applications

* Pharmacy Tech-State of NM
*Under minimal supervision, maintain service and support of pharmacy automated systems.
*Under minimal supervision, assist in implementation/upgrade tasks.
*Address system problems identified by users; troubleshooting daily operation problems.
*Provide technical expertise to PDS Pharmacy automation end users
*Prepare utilization reports in support of department s Quality Management Programs.
*Maintenance of database formulary and user security files
*Maintains practice competency in selected areas of Pharmacy operations including cart fill, first dose dispensing, replenishment of automated dispensing cabinets, and packaging.
*Work with PHS IT and vendor Help Desk support staff and Field Service to address system problems.
*Teaching and training of users on correct use of applications.
*Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled substances.
*Performs other functions as required.
