Hours: Part Time; Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (0-10 weekly hours)

The Journeys and Adventures that Await
- Oversees 3rd party plan processing, trouble shooting, and reconciliation regarding online processing of pharmacy claims.
- Responsible for providing friendly and efficient pharmacy care to all customers.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area in order to maximize efficiency of the pharmacy, minimize errors, and promote excellent service.
- Provides counsel to patients on prescription and non-prescription medications.
- Provides drug information to physician offices via phone, fax, and email.
- Assures compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Obtains authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communication with patients.
- Perform computer entry of prescription information including, but not limited to: patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation & entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
- Supervises activity of a pharmacy technician.
- Responsible for overseeing the prescription filling process including Drug Utilization Review, interactions, etc.
- Responsible for inventory including return of outdated/recalled medications.
- Exhibits computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.
- Demonstrates the attitudes and behaviors of The South Bend Clinic Service Standards.
- Adheres to HIPAA guidelines set forth in Clinic policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned when appropriate.
The Experiences You Bring
Education/Certification/License:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree. Current Pharmacy and state licensure are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Previous experience managing Pharmacy operations is required. Retail experience is beneficial. Excellent customer service skills are required.
