Job Title: Retail Pharmacist

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift, 4 days a week, 10 hours per day (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

Position Overview:

Pride Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Retail Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. This contract position offers a great opportunity for a licensed professional to provide high-quality care to our patients while working in a supportive and dynamic pharmacy environment. The role involves dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accurate billing, supervising pharmacy technicians and clerks, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prescription Dispensing

  Accurately interpret, clarify, and fill prescription orders, ensuring no errors.

  
  

• Supervision

  Oversee the work of pharmacy technicians and clerks, ensuring workflow is efficiently managed and tasks are properly delegated.

  
  

• Billing & Documentation

  Ensure all billing is correct and compliant with regulations, and maintain accurate records, including controlled substances and prescriptions.

  
  

• Patient Counseling

  Provide counsel to patients and customers, answering questions and providing advice as needed.

  
  

• Regulatory Compliance

  Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring proper documentation of all activities.

  
  

• Collaboration

  Assist the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) in onboarding new services and contributing to the growth of pharmacy services in the community.

  
  

Qualifications:

• Licensure

  Current and valid California Pharmacy License required.

  
  

• Education

  BS in Pharmacy required; Pharm D preferred.

  
  

• Experience

  Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.

  
  

• Skills

  Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

  
  

• Technology

  Knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with PrimeCare (QS1) a plus.
