KNK Recruiting, LLC is looking for a direct hire Pharmacist for our targeted client located in the Freeport, Illinois area.
Targeted Pay Range: $53hr to $64hr (salary range varies depending upon skills and experience level.
Status: Full-Time Days
Targeted Client Description:
Our client is a short-term acute care community healthcare organization with 100 total staffed beds. Theyre located in the Freeport, Illinois area and provide a range of services focus on patient care, and offers various medical specialties and services to assist patients at every step of their healthcare journey.
Job Summary:
The Pharmacist coordinates the dispensing of prescribed pharmaceuticals to designated patients and areas within the Health Network. Utilizes delegation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to provide clinical pharmacotherapy support to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Integrate pharmacotherapy principles into practice to optimize patient care.
Demonstrate delegation and team building skills in support of departmental operations.
Demonstrates clinical competency in providing age specific (neonatal-geriatric) pharmacological care to patients in designated areas of practice.
Responsible for the dispensing of prescribed pharmaceuticals to identified areas of practice and patients after first determining appropriateness of drug, dose, directions, etc.
Directly supervises pharmacy technicians
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from five-year College or university with a specialty in pharmacy; and one to two years related experience and/or training is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced in preparation of chemotherapeutic agents, Pharmacy module routines - (Meditech), Pharmacokinetics, I.V.
Admixture preparation/aseptic technique experienced needed
Computer and data entry experienced required.
