Do you love giving dogs and cats stylish new haircuts? We have a very established groom department (since 1972) that allows us the opportunity to "beautify" some of Richmond's most fashionable pets. Our grooming department bathes, de-matts, provides anti-shedding treatments, anal gland expressions, pedicures, teethbrushing, along with a variety of other "spa" services.
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience professionally grooming pets
- Graduation from a certified grooming school is a plus!
- Flexibility. We are a resort business open 7 days a week. Candidates must be able to work alternate weekends and major holidays.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to bathe, dry, de-matt, and finish pets in a professional manner.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, with frequent walking and ability to lift larger dogs.

This workplace is moderately and physically demanding. Candidates must have the ability to lift and push up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, be able to bend, stoop, reach, and stretch, along with the ability to move pets within the facility, vehicles, up and down stairs, and in and out of enclosures. The workplace is typified as a loud working environment - barking dogs, high pressure dryers, etc.
