Holiday Barn Pet Resorts is seeking a retail manager to join their team in Glen Allen, VA as a Grooming Manager. Loving pets is a must! Grooming experience is preferred but not required.

- Ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Evaluating pets prior to groom service for needs and customer satisfaction.
- Assessing pets that have received bathing and grooming services.
- Hire, train, and supervise grooming staff to maximize our level of service to guests, ensuring all Holiday Barn grooming SOPs are properly executed.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to staff regarding work performance and deliver realistic expectations or praise.
- Sell grooming services to customers based on the needs of the pet.
- Handle customer concerns and opportunities in a professional manner.
- Create and encourage a spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and enthusiasm within the grooming department around their work and within the resorts.
- Work accurately and reliably with a positive attitude.
About the Company:
Holiday Barn has a rich history which began with Emerson and Kathy Hughes’ love for dogs and cats. Emerson, a Henrico County music teacher, and his family opened Holiday Barn Pet Resorts in Glen Allen, VA in 1972. A few years later, they opened a second Richmond, VA location near Midlothian.
Today their son, Michael, is head of the pack. Holiday Barn celebrates the individual strengths of our Pack members.
