A Pest Control Technician is responsible for identifying, managing, and eradicating various pests in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The technician conducts thorough inspections, implements treatment plans, and provides recommendations to prevent future infestations. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective pest management solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Inspection and Identification:
- Conduct detailed inspections of properties to identify signs of pest infestations.

- Identify the type of pests and assess the extent of the infestation.

- Determine the factors contributing to the pest problem.

Treatment Implementation:
- Develop and execute treatment plans tailored to the specific pest issue.

- Apply pesticides, baits, traps, and other pest control methods in a safe and effective manner.

- Use and maintain equipment and tools necessary for pest control treatments.

Prevention and Maintenance:
- Provide customers with advice on preventative measures to avoid future infestations.

- Perform follow-up visits to ensure the efficacy of treatments and make adjustments as necessary.

- Offer maintenance services for ongoing pest management.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in pest control is a plus.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Proven experience as a pest control technician or in a similar role.
- Ability to handle and apply pesticides safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to perform inspections and treatments, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
